[sac-forum] Re: Chiefland Village Fall Star Party

Steve,
    I probably will only be able to be there for one night, hopefully a good
one. I look forward to meeting you too. Your columns in AA are very familiar
to me as I have the full set of AA issues back to #1 and paging through them
your "What's Up" columns are the first place I go. I check what I have already
logged and add those that I have not seen to my observing lists (Skytools).
Its helpful to compare what you've seen in a 13" under mag 6.5 to 7+ skies in
the desert to what I can see in my 16" here at home in Centre Alabama with
"good nights" being 5.5 to 6.0 skies. I joined CAV back in the spring and this
will be my first visit. I will also be going to the Peach State Star Gaze, but
again only for one maybe two nights. My job with the university here is such
that there are only certain times that I can get away for extended times, and
that usually isn't in the "star party" season :-( I've never seen 6+
conditions so I am really looking forward to it. I just hope the weather
cooperates for the short time window that I will have.

  David;

  I am going to be there for the Chiefland Star Party and plan on visiting with
Tom and Jeannie Clark, my editor from Amateur Astronomy for many years. I also
look forward to meeting you and Rod Mollise. Sounds like a great time.

  Clear skies to us all;

  Steve Coe
