[sac-forum] Re: Cherry Road DOTM Star Party Report

Gosh, after hearing about this fantastic session--made possible, I
believe, by my appeasement of the astronomy deities--I need to console
myself further with another beer....

The Cherry Road DOTM Star Party was an outstanding success. Plenty of
laughs, party snacks, what a great time. Observers worked on thier very

bright, named star observing lists, etc. At some points deep space
objects
such as the summer triangle could be made out using averted vision.
General
discussions outside of great bands of the 60's, included Jupiter's
massive
nebulosity, The discovery that Anteries is in fact a very short period,
highly variable star and how to tell the difference between the milkyway
and
a cloud using the reflected lightning bolt principal. By 10 PM such
massive
volumes of this new data had been collected that we packed it up and
hauled
it all home.....

See you at the All-Arizona....
