[sac-forum] Calling in some favors.....

Hello all,

The installation of sod in the backyard of our new home concludes the
landscaping my wife and I worked our butts off to complete before summer hit.
That being the case, it's time to move on to much more enjoyable projects. As
such, this coming Sunday, April 21st, I'll be mixing the concrete to pour the
base for my telescope pier.

Because a full sized cement mixer won't work in my situation, I'm asking all of
you for some assistance.

Here's the deal....I could use a couple extra pairs of arms to help mix up just
over a ton of concrete.
Now, I know most of you probably detest physical labour as much as myself, but
it's not that tough.
In the past, I've mixed a quarter ton of concrete with one other person, and
that only took a bit under half an hour. This being the case, I don't imagine
that this would take more than a couple of hours with 2 or 3 extra sets of
hands.

Also, I would also appreciate if someone out there could loan me one of those
"little" cement mixers. (the type that 2 people could carry, or 1 person could
carry in a couple of trips...) I'd be more than happy to come and get/return
it. In absence of a mixer, I do have a wheelbarrow and a mixing tub, as well
as a couple of shovels. If you can help me that morning, all you'd need to
bring is a pair of gloves, some work clothes and a drink of your choosing. A
flat head shovel if you've got it.

And now for the particulars.....

My home is on the West side, near 115th Ave and Van Buren. I intend on
starting sometime between 9 and 10am. IF by chance you can help this coming
Sunday morning, or can loan me a little mixer, please contact me at either of
these numbers.... 602-230-7354 or 602-826-0328

Your assistance will insure an absence of dirty looks at future ATM
meetings..... :-)
