Dick, from what I undestand then the STT is clear but the HJ for John
Herschel is reasonable but where does the "HJ h" fit, for 2155? I'm just
trying to get the abbreviations correct for the Call for Observations
article for our readers.
Clear skies,
aj

HJ is John Herschel, not William. William is listed as H IV xx or H III
xx etc.

Dick, need clarification or support on your double star abbreviations.
STT is for Otto Struve and the HJ are William and John Herschel. Correct?

Sorry about that! Here's what I have:
Call for Observations
Constellation: Perseus
Observer: Richard Harshaw
Location (all reports): Suburban setting (Kansas City, MO)
M34
8-inch SCT at 65x. Exquisite! Many blue and white stars, it is loose
and large.
It contains: STT 44 and HJ 1124 (center), HJ 1123 (N of center), andHJ
h2155 (NE quadrant).
