[sac-forum] Re: Call for Observations - Perseus

Now, I am confused:

Capital "H" or "HN" for Wm Herschel or Hershel Number for double stars.

Lower case "h" for John Herschel.

There is no "HJ" in the SAC double star data.

HJ is John Herschel, not William. William is listed as H IV xx or H III xx
etc.

Dick, need clarification or support on your double star abbreviations. STT
is for Otto Struve and the HJ are William and John Herschel. Correct?

Sorry about that! Here's what I have:

  Call for Observations

  Constellation: Perseus

  Observer: Richard Harshaw

Location (all reports): Suburban setting (Kansas City, MO)

  M34

8-inch SCT at 65x. Exquisite! Many blue and white stars, it is loose and
large.

It contains: STT 44 and HJ 1124 (center), HJ 1123 (N of center), andHJ
h2155 (NE quadrant).
