I was rummaging through some misc. papers here in my "office" and ran
across the notes I took on Beevo's (Bill Van Orden's) binocular
parallelogram mount. As I may have been the only other SAC-ATM member
who actually saw the mount (before Beevo sold it), I thought it might be
of interest, if nothing more than a check against the CAD drawings that
Steve Dodder scaled from a photo.
Main arms were 1 inch square thick-wall aluminum tubing
Main arms length (distance between pivots) = 16 inches
Distance vertically between arms = 4 inches
Height of top arm pivot on vertical post (above tripod ) = 11 inches
I did not record the diameter of the nicely-machined vertical post, or
any of the other dimensions (as those would necessarily vary depending
upon the weight and size of the binoculars and the tripod used).
