According to this article:

the age of the universe is 13.7 billion years (+/- 1%).  That's only three
times the age of the earth (4.55 Gy).

The book "21st Century Astronomy" says 13.6 Gy.  So I guess that means I
should keep the book (it still being mostly correct). :-)
