[sac-forum] Re: [AZ-Observing] Observing tonight?

I may give Hovatter a try, I will make a decision about 4PM or so.

Hope to see you all there;

Peter and all, here are directions to the Hovatter site south of I-10.

Travel time about 2 hours from I-10 and I-17 stack on the west side of
town. Go west on I-10 to Hovatter Rd at exit 53 or about 40 miles west
of Palo Verde Nuclear Power generating station. Turn left, south, over
the freeway, drive over the canal and then the road takes a sharp right
and the pavement ends at a "dead end" sign. Turn left at the sign and
you will be headed directly toward some radio and cell phone antennas.
After you pass the antennas the road takes a sharp right and makes its
way through a wash or stream gulley; then the road levels off for half a
mile before you pass into a second gulley. As soon as you come out of
the second gulley the observing site is on your left. It is a large
desert pavement that is exactly 2 miles from the I-10 freeway.

As indicated in an earlier e-mail, I am not going to make any kind of
observing session tonight and hope this contributes to a clear sky for
all. :o))

Clear skies,
aj

someone post directions to Hovatter, as I've seen reference to both north
