[sac-forum] Re: 5MM Today

Well it looks like I am in the official "I don't know what to do" mode. Satellite images indicate clouds along the rim and the forecast for the next 2 nights is partly cloudy and gusty winds. Saturday looks even worse with "slight chance of dry thunderstorms in the evening." Whatever that means.

Will try to get a call into Steve, who was there last night, and see what it looks like.

On hold,
aj

Jimmy, and to think that this morning it was all clear. Just shows to go you that no one can predict the weather correctly - all the time. Based on weather sites I frequent the skies will ONLY, be partly cloudy that means I'll still be heading up there. Hopefully, the weather will not get any worse, who knows.

Actually I'm already packed and will be departing in about 30 minutes.

Clear skies and NO clouds,
aj

The 32 Incher explains the very large band of moisture moving into the state! David will be stoned....(and not in a 60's sort of way >:-)>

Frank, photons will be save for you and anyone else that shows up. Even for David Fredericksen who is, allegedly, bringing his new telescope - the 32-incher. Actually it is new to him but it has already seen first light by the original owner, hence there shouldn't be a Moiston problem.

Clear skies,
aj

Hi AJ, I am planning on taking the motor home up on Friday leaving around 2:00 for Friday and Saturday night. Please save some photons for me. Should be good skies.

  Thanks,
  Frank Martin

I'm going to pack up and leave for 5MM today between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Any and all wishing to caravan up with me is more than welcome. Just drop me a line or give me a call.

Steve Coe is already up there soaking up the photons and I'm going there to see that some are saved for everyone else. :)) I've got my observing lists all ready, including those that have been waiting for a couple of years, including Palomar 5.

I call weather reports like we are seeing "severely clear."

    Clear skies,
    aj
