[sac-board] Re: [sac-forum] Announcing the Keynote Speaker for the 30th Anniversary Dinner

Hey AJ--I think we need to keep in mind that probably 50% of the audience
doesn't have quite the interest in astronomy/cosmology that we do. I asked
Dr. Davies to speak at the club next year as well on one of his more mind
boggling subjects.

Jennifer, I wasn't aware of his offer - or did I misread Rick T's original
e-mail. I was looking for something like this but felt it was a very broad
subject that would have been difficult to cover. Yet this does sound like a
good topic and you can count me in.

Thanks and clear skies,
aj

AJ--Paul did offer to talk on the Hawking effect but I'm thinking we should
take this opportunity to show our main squeezes why we like astronomy so
much.

Rick, I like Dr. Davies topics discussed in his research. If this is to
broad, then narrow it down to atomic astrophysics, quantum mechanics and
thermodynamic properties. That is only if he can make the discussion simple
enough for us to understand.

Hope this helps,
aj
