All, MTCW Since I'm curretnly working on the SAc 110 & Herchel 400 together (and have a long way to go, at least for the H400) the 1000 New objects list is fine with me even if it doesn't include the Best beyond the NGC (Icurrently have 4 objects observed in that list) Personally I like the challenge of a more managable list and think 110 objects is a nice even number with a certain symbolism attached. I also think the Best Beyond the NGC list is a logical pregression from the H400. As Steve said by the time you've earned the H400, you have proven yourself to be an experienced observer. Object that are more challenging such as those on the list should keep an observer's skills honed to a keen edge. 1000 new objects is certainly a big bite to chew. Let it be the higest award we offer.
