I can certainly make up somthing, but we obviously need to decide what the

I understand now....no, we don't want to request a full years payment.
Maybe 20 dollars will do fine with a sentence to that effect.  "The complete
dues of one year are 28 dollars, however, because it is May, the pro-rated
dues are 20 dollars.  Please enclose a check for that amount."
