[sac-board] Re: Waivers: Summary of Dissent

You are not holding the club harmless for injuries IT caused you. The =
club as an entity would be incapable of harming you. If a club member or =
anyone else cause you physical harm, then that would most likely be a =
criminal offense and something else entirely. You a re holding the club =
harmless from injuries you may cause to yourself through carelessness =
(tripping over a creosote bush and the like).

Why should I sign a form stating I hold you harmless for any injury=20
you may cause me?

As Bob pointed out, that gives you a blank check to do what you want.=20
That IS NOT RIGHT!

I guarantee you if someone is indeed negligent and someone is injured=20
a waiver will not protect you and could be cause for swaying a=20
judgement and even increasing an award.

Interesting link. Should the waiver list as potential dangers,=20
getting hit by a meteorite? :-)
