This is the proposal from last Friday's meeting, it has been signed as =
required.
Please, let's first look to requiring the waiver then to what other =
articles this requirement will affect.
PROPOSAL TO SAGUARO ASTRONOMY CLUB TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS =
OF THE SAGUARO ASTRONOMY CLUB
AUGUST 19, 2005
The Board is hereby submitting to the General Assembly a proposal to =
amend the Constitution and Bylaws of the Saguaro Astronomy Club to =
permit Saguaro Astronomy Club to require a duly signed "Hold Harmless =
Agreement" from time to time as determined by a majority vote of the =
current governing Board for members, guests, and other participants to =
enter or participate in any event sanctioned, authorized, coordinated or =
sponsored by the Saguaro Astronomy Club.
The exact verbiage of this amendment and the verbiage of a relative =
sample "Hold Harmless Agreement" will be posted and discussed on the SAC =
Board/SAC Announce email lists and to the Saguaro Astronomy Club Website =
as it becomes available for input and discussion by Board and the =
General Assembly. When a decision is reached by the board as to the =
wording of the final amendment, the general voting membership of the =
Saguaro Astronomy Club will be called to vote on it's approval at the =
then next general meeting.
Respectfully submitted in writing to the General Assembly of Saguaro =
Astronomy Club this 19th day of August 2005 and duly signed by these =
five voting members in the spirit of Article X (Amendments) of the =
current Constitution and Bylaws of the Saguaro Astronomy Club (as =
approved August 23, 2002).=20
