[sac-board] Re: Waiver Committee

AJ,
I know David Frederickson stepped up to help. (Thanks David!) As the =
Chairman of this committee, I understand (from the C&Bs) you can select =
committee members from the SAC membership. You could probably try =
recruiting on the SacAnnounce? Or just asking whom you'd like as long =
as they are a SAC member. You may want to take the age old advice of =
"Too many cooks. . . ." though.=20

I think the charter should or could be something like:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Saguaro Astronomy =
Club, specifically Articles V.B.5. and V.C., a special Committee has =
formed with A.J. Crayon as the duly appointed Chairman to investigate =
and accomplish specific tasks in relation with consideration of a =
requirement of executing  an _Hold Harmless Agreement_ to be effectively =
administered at certain  events sponsored by Saguaro Astronomy Club from =
time to time as deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.  This =
Special Committee is hereby entrusted to:
1. Compose an amendment/addition to the "Constitution and Bylaws of the =
Saguaro Astronomy Club" to the effect of a notice to current and =
prospective members that signed Hold Harmless Agreements may be required =
for participation/attendance at a Saguaro Astronomy Club sponsored =
event, and
2.  Compose the relative "Hold Harmless Agreement".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'd suggest "googling": Hold Harmless Agreement for ideas and also =
looking at other astro clubs'.

I wish I could volunteer for your committee but I'm booked, honestly. =
Thanks for taking this one for us though.

Jennifer Polakis VP
Saguaro Astronomy Club

PS!!!!!!!! Mike Spooner, yup, Mike Spooner will be making the lecture =
at our September meeting! Yee Ha!

Subject: [sac-board] Waiver Committee

Does anyone have a list for the members of the waiver committee? I=20
remember some, but not, all of them.

Also, could the charter of the committee be stated so we know what to do =

and everyone will know what to expect. I'd like to have this understood =

before going to far so there are few misunderstandings.

It may take me a while to get things going.

Thanks,
aj
