Photo's, especially JPEGs and GIFs are already compressed. They might
even get larger if you attempt to compress them. The other files are not
too significant in size to warrant compression, then there's the hassle of
providing decompression software for all computers (you'd have to get
permission to redistribute the software if it isn't already given).
The texts files are best NOT converted to PDF. This would only keep
people from using the text in other programs.
Keep the CD simple.
