[sac-board] Re: Star parties & waivers

I have chosen to use my evening response as a reply to Glen's notable
posting. Thanks for some humor, we certainly need some.

10:01am Paul referenced a meeting next Friday. It is actually Friday,
September 16th.

Paul suggested the URL http://www.eqgroup.com/Library/eqlegal18.htm[1] for
determining some of the waivers content. Actually, before he posted this
thefirst time I used it to get an idea for some wording. The more I listen
towhat is going on, the better off I believe SAC and guests of their members
will be because of the information found here.

There has been a number of unspecified concerns re: to do what we want.
Justwhat are the concerns about someone doing what they want, please give
some specifics. There needs to be leeway to run an event, but I don't see
that permitting organizers to do anything they please especially if it
violates star party or moral standards. Are folks in fear of what may
happenif a waiver is signed? What is there to fear - but fear itself?

2:53pm Jeff, re: AJ, I won't sue you. Thanks Jeff, actually I believed that
for a long time but it is good to hear that.

Clear skies to all,
aj
