The subject lines in the archives are kept intact. Thus Rick has posted
his SAC address there on Tuesday.

Spam bots do not read English text. Only humans do. The only way someone
to put it together would be to read the text and understand the context.
This is one thing machines can not do yet, despite paranoia to the
contrary.

Most likely the newsletter is the culprit.

Perhaps Bob Erdmann can create a test mailbox and give that address to
Rick Tejera for inclusion in the next newsletter (to be done the same way
addresses are handled in the current issue). If the mailbox then got
spam, we would know for sure whether is was the newsletter. The address
would have to go directly from Bob to Rick, not through this list.
