[sac-board] Scholarships and Grants Committee

The Scholarships and Grants Committee will meet on Friday, June 8 at 6:30 pm in 
the room east of the general meeting room.  

Topics to be discussed:

          1.  Scholarships and grants process:  kind and amount of awards to be 
designated; content and design of the scholarship/grant application including 
criteria for eligibility, references, rating scale and final determination of 
the award.
(15 min.)

          2.   Determine what Phoenix geographical areas re: high school 
districts, colleges and universities should be included in the SAC notification 
of available awards. (10 min.)

          3.   Set tentative time periods in the scholarship process: sending 
the application to the high schools (counseling dept), returning the 
application to SAC, screening candidates, notification of award and 
presentation of the award to the candidate at the appropriate school function. 
(15 min.)  

          4.   Plan for August/September meeting.  Presentation of our first 
scholarship award to Gerry Lewis Jacobs. (10 min.)
