The web server is basically paid for by me since I own it.  The monthly
connect fee (paid to Primeview LLC in Scottsdale for T1 access, where my web
server is physically hosted) is $85 with no limit as to the number of bytes
transferred each month.  There are a number of web sites currently on it,
and SAC's is just one of them. Since SAC is a worthwhile, non-profit
organization, I basically donate web access to the club since the server,
and its internet connection, are already there, and the amount of activity
is minimal compared to some of the other web sites on the server (The NGC/IC
Project is a good example of a web site on the server with a lot of
activity).

Two or three years ago, Steve Coe brought over a used 133 Mhz tower (paid
for by the club, he said) to help offset the computer resources I was
dedicating to the web server, and I used it for a couple of years until it
died a few months ago, but it was never on the Internet, and I used it
locally in my home for e-mail, Linux test platform, etc.  So as long as you
keep the SAC site on my web server, there won't be any charge for hardware
repairs to the club, because if something breaks, it will affect all of the
web sites on the server, and not just SAC's.
