[sac-board] Re: SAC Shirt Plans

I talked with Derek today. We're thinking of polo (golf type) shirts
with embroidered front pocket with the SAC logo, and regular t-shirts
with logo on front pocket and perhaps a design on the back. The polo
shirts may be ordered WITH or WITHOUT pocket in colors of forest green,
blue (like the MM shirt), red, black, grey, and maroon. The embroidering
can change color to fit the shirt color by just a change of thread, so
no sweat there. The t-shirts would have no pocket and be like the MM
shirt which I really like, and the Club t-shirt would be similar to
that, that is, two-color logo on front and design, such as a big galaxy
or telescope on back with maybe printing of some sort to be decided.
Maybe all t-shirts should be one color, like the MM shirt was.

Brands are Gildan, Fruit of the Loom, Crescent Bay, Inner Harbor, Hanes,
Jerzees, etc. whichever is best looking and best price.

I'm thinking put the choices on the website or mail list and let
everyone order what they want for an initial run plus maybe some extra
(not too many) t-shirts to have in stock of popular sizes and types.

We can't really use the old artwork. It would be better to use the color
logo on the website instead as the guide. It has to be redone using the
Shirt Guy's computer anyway.
