[sac-board] Re: SAC Constitution and Proposed Amendment 2.0

Jack, picture an event like the T-Bird star party. People are coming
at all times from all directions in the dark. There are crowds. Who
signed, who didn't? There is absolutely no way you could channel
people to assure the signing. Even at the park entrance you would be
foiled as people may attend who have been there before you arrived or
may walk over the hills. The same is true for most events. If someone
parks away and walks to the event, how will you know? Most events
pride on being dark. You would need a brightly lit booth/table to
even let people know you were there. How do you identify those who
signed and those who did not, in the dark?

It seems most thinking on this is for events where you can easily see
the people or have a narrow funnel/door to make them pass through so
you know they are coming in. How do you know about people coming in
after dark in a large field without borders? Astronomy star parties
are not like most other type events.
