The Club has the authority to enforce its constitution and bylaws and spells
out remedies.

Using a parallel, bicycle clubs, at their events, specatators are not required
to sign anything, just participants.

Again with my parallel, bicycle events and Clubs are perceived as the
friendliest there is, yet have stringent requirements and restrictions, way
more that we'll ever have.

Sign of the times, it may be required in the future, or we will cease to
operate.

Again, I can ride my bike anytime too, but "it ain't the same thing". I really
like (actually need) to participate in Bicycle Club-sponsored events.

Waivers haven't seemed (to me) to dampen enthusiasm or stopped anyone from
joining Bicycle (or Rocketry etc) Clubs and annual events.
