October 6 is the rain date for the August 28 trip, which was cancelled due to
the U of A closing the road to the observatory. The other tour is a go for Sept
8. I doubt if the same people will go on the Oct 6 trip, but some will and
others will sign up to fill the empty slots for a total of 13 max. I'm just
mentioning it as a factor, it doesn't mean we can't have a Public Star Party on
the 6th. I suggested Sept 29 since it was mentioned the date wasn't locked in.

The short story is, in Adams absence, we (REACH11 & I) decided on the
6th instead of the 13th (SAC star party) thinking the moon would be up.
This date, the 6th, was announced at the meeting and is in the
newsletter.
I'll try to contact REACH 11 and see if they are amenable to a change in
date; but it may be toooo late as I have already spoken with them about
locking in on the 6th.
Of note I will not be able to make the 6th due to a long time family
friends' marriage late that afternoon.
BTW, when did the Mt Graham trip on the 6th come up? Did I miss the
announcement at the meeting?
