I must have tuned out around the second paragraph.  No pictures to break
up the article.  :-)

Last year, the reported low temperatures were in the high 30's, but it
only required a long sleeved shirt to observe comfortably.  The warm air
from down in the canyon protected the lodge (on a long peninsula) from the
cold air.
