I appreciate your candor and honesty about this subject.  In the same way that 
SAC has always seen that owning land and trying to build big club telescopes on 
that land would only create more problems than it would provide fun, I think 
the same is true of trying to provide an observing award program to non-SAC 
members.

Thank you for taking some time to think it over.  You are a wise man.  (can I 
borrow some money?;;))
