[sac-board] Re: Marathon - wrapping it up

Not sure how the details of the logistics would work here perhaps some
discussion could clear up some of the hazy spots I have.

Would every check off list have the request attached or just some? How do we
know who is member in good standing and who isn't? In the last few years
there have been participants that have claimed to be a member of a club, only
to find the opposite from the treasurer because dues haven't been paid. This
discovery doesn't happen until the preliminary results are posted, which is
one of the reasons for this post. The preliminary results are posted and
verified before ordering.

Only way to tell at the beginning of the event is to have listing of all clubs
for members participating for verification and this doesn't sound either
appealing nor workable.

Actually discussion of payment for the plaque doesn't come after the event.
It is always stated in the first few paragraphs how payment is expected. As
far as I know all individuals have paid for the plaque; this includes
observers from as far away, from off the top of my head, as Ohio and
Massachusetts. Would have to look at all the results back to '93 to see if
there are others. Of course, this doesn't say 2002 could be the first time.
