[sac-board] Marathon - wrapping it up

Paul, I've finally got the awards organized in some semblance of order -
order at least from my point of view, and I'd like to cover a number of
topics with you as treasurer.

First SAC pays Name Plate for complete order and either individual or
club reimburses SAC treasury.  This was done last year and it seemed to
work better than individuals and clubs pay Name Plate directly.  I have
two copies of each invoice, one for you and one for the payee.
Unfortunately the invoices have Peggy's address, not yours.  So I'm
going to include a letter of congratulations and an explanation that
payment be sent to you and have your address prominently displayed.
Will have to let Peggy know because some checks may still go to her.

I supply the certificates at no charge; the parchment paper cost less
than 10 cents per page.  Also I pay for all postage - before and after
the marathon.

The more unique situations will be discussed first.

Sun City West Astronomy Club, one first place and one certificate, they
are on summer hiatus until September 24th.  I'll try to contact Jim
Crissman, president, to see if they can pay before September.  Invoice
$9.19.

Mark Blackford, from Sydney, Australia, second place; I'd like to
propose SAC pay for plates for observers outside the North American
continent.  We occasionally get some from Canada or Mexico and they
would be expected to pay instead of SAC.  This would, pretty much, be an
unwritten rule that may not always be followed.  He is only one in this
situation in all of the Marathons.  Invoice $9.19.

Ken Sikes, first place, award billed on SAC invoice.  I didn't know
until to late that Ken wasn't a member.  I'll discuss with him so he
understands what's happened and expected to happen.  Invoice $9.19.

SAC, first place for Steve Dodder.  Invoice $9.19.

Wade Holguin, second place.  Invoice $9.19

Michael Evans, first place.  Invoice $9.19.

TAAA, one first place and one certificate.  Invoice $9.19.

EVAC, I'll present awards and invoice at their May 8th meeting.  Invoice
$45.94.

The total for all invoices is $110.27.  Please check my addition.

I have addresses for mailing from the list they turned in.
