Hey All you bored people,
Just talked to my freinds at Express Sign. Seems that our best bet for cost is
to buy the corrugated plastic signs and hand write whatever on them. I can
probably get about 4~5 signs for around $20, not including the Sharpie.
Or even cheaper, I can get some cardboard and do the same thing, but it'll look
like ca-ca.
But, this raises questions. Would it be desireable and beneficial to pay out a
little more for a couple of more permanent metal signs? I can hit Realty Sign
Co. and pick one or two up fairly reasonably, but would Mr. Farnsworth object
to this? Does the bored object to this?
If we make our own signs, I would request that someone with good handwriting do
the writing, 'cuz my handwriting sucks, and might even be misintrepreted.
Also, what should these signs say? Should we do like the old Berma shave ads
(If you go too fast......in your car......the other astronomers.....will beat
you 'til you see stars), or maybe something more Karmatic, (May the dirt of a
thousand duststorms find your mirror if you drive over 5 mph.) I need some
ideas, even if they are a little more direct. (Dust and optics don't mix,
please drive SLOWLY)
I will need to get these to someone going out on that Friday, as I won't be
there until that Sat.
