Dick, I should say something about the Messier Marathon but not sure just
what. I'll have something by then.

Subject: [sac-board] January Board Meeting
2009 is the International Year of Astronomy. It will be a busy year for our
hobby, and we have been asked by the Arizona Science Center to help out. To
get started on this year-long effort and to explore the other initiatives I
want to work on in 2009, I'd like to call a board meeting for January 9,
2009, at 6:00 pm at GCU. The agenda will include the following:
IYA Participation (our own events plus help with AZ Sci Ctr)
Should SAC be set up as non-profit in order to make it easier for
non-members to contribute?
Budget forecast from Charlie Whiting; what can we do to avoid a deficit?
Recruiting new members to SAC
If there are other topics you'd like to place on the agenda, please let me
know.
