[sac-board] Items from the last board meeting

Here are the topics covered at the board meeting last week:

    Pay IDA

        board approved our renewal to IDA.

    T-shirts

        board approved of t-shirts for the Sentinel-Schwaar Star Gaze.
        Money from those sales, would be used for the Messier Marathon
        T-shirts, and the money from those would go to club shirts.
        Jack would keep an eye on the weather so that the star party
        t-shirts would only get printed if good weather look likely.

    Limit newsletter to 12 pages (like February's)

        this was proved to limit the amount of postage spent on the
        newsletter.  As an aid to freeing some space, it was suggested
        the maps and directions to other SAC events (not the main
        meeting) be removed from the newsletter and be made as
        handouts to be available at the meeting.  Steve Coe said he'd
        see that the handouts were at the meetings.

    Sentinel ready?

        Jack Jones requested a check for $65 to order the
        porta-pottie.

    Marathon status

        Jack would request money and take care of the porta-pottie
        next month.

    Public Star Parties/Public Events Coordinator

        Jack Jones agreed to handle this position.

    Grants & Scholarships

        After a little discussion about how to distribute the money,
        it was finally decide that the board would present to the club
        that the club should donate the full amount to the Challenger
        Learning Center in Peoria.  This would allow the money to be
        used within Arizona and most likely in the Metro Phoenix area.

    SAC Letterhead

        Paul will get his act together and generate a new letterhead
        for club printed correspondence.
