Are the RJ-45 connectors in the network connections? They've been there a LONG
time (15+ years at least). I thought they were serial connections to the
campus computer.
I definitely do not want to risk my built-in network adapter on my notebook on
something that might have the wrong voltages.
I've used the campus wireless network, but it's been at least a year, maybe
two. The last time I used it, I needed to download a copy of firefox. Dialup
would have been faster. It kept dropping the connection. Web pages download
just fine though.
At the time, it required that I create an account and login with it to enable
internet access. I don't recall if it even required an E-mail address at that
time (like how would you access the E-mail account for account info if you
didn't have access to the internet).
