It seems an incorporation entity as a "Tax-Exempt, Non-Profit
Corporation" with the IRS as Joe & Peter suggested may solve our legal
problems for protecting the club and it's officers from liabilities.
(Let the insurance company handle it.)
My question: Can any "SAC old timer" remember why we didn't do this? Was
it because: "Keep It Simple Stupid" or, "not wanting to do the annual
paperwork"?
If the club wants to host large star parties, the "legal entity" thing
begins to make more sense.
Who really wants the hassle of the waiver process?
My two USA cents.
