By the treaty called the Berne Convention, since circa 1995, everything is
copyrighted unless placed in the public domain.  There is no requirement
that the material requires a copyright notice unless you plan on
officially registering the copyright.  I might be wrong on this last part,
so check out the Copyright Office's web site at the Library of Congress.
