Subject: Speakers (Potential)
I will give you a fairly long list of potentials here.
Faculty (This is the current list of ASU Astro Faculty, with my thoughts
on how likley they are to talk)
Per Aannestad (I think he has done it before)
Dave Burstein (done it before, might know who at UA to talk to)
Anne Cowley (maybe, probably not)
Jeff Hester (has done it before, been busy lately)
Michael Politano (maybe, I don't know if anyone has ever asked)
Paul Scowen (he has done it before)
Paul Schmidtke (maybe)
Sumner Starrfield (I would be astonished)
Rogier Windhorst (I suspect not, he normally tries to pass the buck)
Postdocs
Steve Odewahn (maybe)
Harri Vanhalla (I have no idea)
Students (or very recent grads, who are still local)
Carl Covatto (Works for Per, will finish very soon)
Kevin Healy (works for Jeff, should be very good)
Heidi van Tassell (working for Jeff, teaches most Fridays)
Lisa Will (now teaching at MCC, recently graduated)
Planetary Geology Faculty
Phil Christensen (probably too busy, but has A LOT of students)
Ron Greeley
Laurie Leshin (does meteorites and Mars, very good speaker)
Jack Farmer (just started ASU's Astrobiology program)
Jack Larimer
Tom Sharp
Gary Huss
I would trust them on grad students to contact. However, Ron discourages
his grad students from doing much other than research. Paul Knauth, of
course, would be good for geo people info.
