The following was an attempted post to SAC-Announce. I've canceled
that message and forwarded the message to SAC-Board (with some
trimming and line-wrapping).

Hi Jim,

thank you for your answer. I appreciate if you could relay the
information to others.

Some information on myself:

my name is Matthias Bopp and I live in Germany. I will be next week in
Phoenix and I wonder whether there are any "Astronomy" events I may
participate. I am a novice to Astronony (got my NexStar114GT last
Christmas) and guess I could learn a hell lot when listening to some
experienced guys. I have never been to a Star Party here in Germany
but feel I should start sometime ;-)

Clear skys

Matthias

Matthias,

You may want to forward this message to az-observing@xxxxxxxxxx That
is the mailing list most of us active amatuers here use to coordinate
with each other. I do not know of any large outings during the week
but there is usually someone heading for dark skies on most nights. I
could even be talked into it depending on how my work week goes. If
you like I can forward it for you. I just didn't want to presume you
would want me to.

Hi,

I will be in Phoenix/Arizona next week (sunday evening till Friday
morning) and wonder whether there is anything happening in the
Astronomy-Community at that time around Phoenix.

I appreciate any feedback.

Kind regards

Matthias
