[sac-board] Re: Future Planning Spring 2008 SP

Jack,

When is Astronomy Day? Seems the past few have coincided with that event.
Quite frankly, I don't think it really matters that much though. Is there a
possibility of April and having the may date as a back up in case Meteora
casts her wrath upon us?

(Yes I survived a week with 100 6th graders)

Subject: [sac-board] Future Planning Spring 2008 SP

Hello Board,

Some news from Glendale Parks on future planning:
Speaking with Glendale Parks coords on the Spring 2008 Public Star Party for
TBird Park, we have come up with April 12 and May 10 as possible and
tentative dates, both Saturdays near 1st qtr Moon, with Mars, Saturn and
Moon all well-placed for viewing on both dates. Looking back, our earliest
party I have record of here was April 16 and latest has been May 10. I think
both dates were OK as far as temps, too hot or too cold, and perhaps the
April dates had more attendees. May 10 is day before Mother's Day this year
if that has any effect. Any input or preferences on these dates?
