[sac-board] Re: [EVAC] New General Assembly Meeting Place

The Science Center gets my vote for a joint SAC/EVAC meeting, any time it is available. If the cost is not a big object, there is also the meeting hall at the Pueblo Grande Museum, on E. Washington Street, which is centrally located, just off the freeway north of the airport. I think Tom P. looked into that venue, and probably knows the cost and etc.
Just an idea.....

I think this combo plan will probably get narrowed down to two joint
meetings a year at the science center. I'd love to get DonMachholz into a
larger venue this Nov. but if we can't, we'll probably just hog him to
ourselves. I'm looking at the science center for Aug or Sept joint meeting
with EVAC and maybe have a "biggy" lined up for that but it's still a maybe
so I don't want to jinx it by spilling the beans.

Yes, people will complain about driving distance to a meeting...but "will" drive a while to a star party...anyway, it will have to be a compromise, centrally located. This will be rather difficult, thus the creation of East Valley Astronomy Club!

If it aint at the AZ Science Center or Grand Canyon College, where else
would be acceptable for a SAC/EVAC combined meeting place?

Thanks Al. I've been meaning to do that. EVAC has offered their Gilbert
Site which has the advantage of FREE! but I worry the membership may think
it too far to drive. Let's get all the info together about it and present
the options at next meeting. Let us know when GC replies and the costs,
etc.
Jennifer.
