My copies of the 1979-1982 issues of SACNews have gone AWOL (most likely
the two folders are hiding with the dust monsters under my bed), the
October 1978 issue mentions a Tucson Star Party (Oct 21st) with TAAA at
Saguaro National Monument (west) visitor's center. This might be an All
Arizona event, but the announcement is labeled as a SAC/TAAA event.

Given the fallout of the PAS/SAC split, it's likely mentioning PAS in
SACNews was avoided as much as possible.
