I thought the donation was about $5000. And yes it was small sandwiches not
a gala banquet

In a way, this strikes me wrong.  Unless the luncheon is pretty much
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I see this as being too expensive for
the donation we're making.  Did you tell him the donaton was less than
$1300?
