[sac-board] Club Officers Needed

The offices open for 2002 are President, Treasurer, and Properties Director. 
The duties as per the constitution I have listed below. Please give 
consideration for helping out the Club and with maintaining our organization 
and its operation! Nominate someone who wants to be a part of the action and is 
interested and cares about our future, or become a helping hand yourself. Just 
give me a call or email and let me know and I'll add you on for consideration 
for 2002, our best year ever!

President:

See that other officers of the organization conduct their offices properly. 
Provide the leadership necessary to maintain a smoothly running organization.

Preside at all meetings of the General Assembly and Board of Directors. 
Responsible for finding a suitable meeting place for General and Special 
meetings.

Propose club policies and goals to be approved and implemented by the Board of 
Directors. Be one of two officers (with Treasurer) with check signing 
privileges. Committee chairmen will be accountable to the President.

With the Treasurer and Board of Directors, execute all legal documents in the 
name of the organization.


Treasurer:

Responsible for presenting a proposed budget; will be in charge of ways and 
means; will handle club capital, checking account and may sign checks; will 
collect membership dues, process subscriptions and provide an official 
membership list for publication; will be in charge of membership application 
forms and club information sheets.


Properties Officer:

Will be in charge of all real properties including the observing sites, club 
library, and club instruments; will be the host for regularly scheduled star 
parties or responsible for delegating the role; will be in charge of club keys.
