I think the best precaution would be to know where the closest medical =
facility is and maybe ensure one person always parks in a way they can =
leave quickly without running over telescopes.=20

When I have some time, I'll find the nearest emergency medical care to =
each of our main observing sites.

I haven't read JD's post but maybe as a small bit of reassurance, I =
understand his snake confrontation happened near to his house.  =
Households attract varmits, and varmits attract snakes.  I think the =
likelihood of seeing a snake at a house in a fairly remote area like his =
is more likely than seeing one at a place like Cherry Road for example.  =
But it's always necessary to be aware at any rate.

the Club does have an "official" First-Aid kit and I have possession of =
it
(nothing fancy, just the usual bandages, bandaids, ointments, and =
pills). I
am
usually at Club Star Parties and always bring it. I can give you an
inventory
of what's in it on request and what medicals are out of date, if any.
