[sac-board] Re: Board meeting topics....

AJ,

I'm curious as to your reasoning involving out of state guests. Do you feel
they are more likely to
file lawsuits? Will every attendee have to sign a waiver or just non-Arizonans?
Will waivers be
required only if 'outsiders' are present (just kidding). Interesting.

Paul, you have done a good job encapsulating the entire discussion, much better
than my WAG! (o;

I'd like to go on record, especially since I'm the instigator of all this, with
my current position.
I believe we need to follow some, maybe not all, of Kimball's advice.
Specifically I think we need
to have some sort of waiver available for the Messier Marathon. Perhaps the
door can be left open
for other events that attract out of state folks. I'm thinking of events like
the
Sentinel-Schwarr-Star-Gaze. Right now I don't think we need the waivers, but
who knows what will
happen and what will be needed in the future.

Sounds pretty simple and straight forward to me. Perhaps some discussion will
expose some new
thoughts and ideas.

Clear skies and looking forward to the Board Meeting, aj
