  Wow, Did someone not have their morning coffee?  I agree it is up to the park 
to ensure safety issues.  But as a group we can assist / ensure the area around 
the T-scopes are safe for us and all those attending, that's all I was concern 
with..  As for the blinkers & light sticks suggestions, I was only offering to 
assist in getting lanterns up and running again or offering an alternate 
solution if they were not working any longer.  No disrespect to anyone nor was 
I making any negative issue of anything.  I ONLY wanted to help out..  Sorry 
for the confusion & irritation I caused you...  I'll leave it to you to do 
whatever and will disregard unpacking / locating the 6v's I have.  Sorry 
again!!!  Best wishes for a successful event..

is any corrosion or other issues. I can report back on those. 
Surprising to me that after all this time, that this would surface as an 
issue, as nobody has mentioned using them for years.

The other suggestions on more modern options would likely be more viable 
in terms of cost effectiveness... Replacement lantern cells would 
likely not last through a year, as they deteriorate rapidly when stored 
(esp. in the heat of someone's garage...) -- unless perhaps the 
batteries are refrigerated....

BTW, the newer blinker lights used in road construction nowadays are all 
LEDs, even though the external package may look the same. And those are 
"your tax dollars at work"... (One of my friend's "rich" relatives 
owned the rental company that supplies barricades and signs.) :>))
