[sarcasm]Ahhh, it's good to be president.[/sarcasm] While I respect the opinions, this is something that has already been decided upon by a majority. There was a show of hands at the July board meeting, and it decided to move forward with the proposal. Again, it is only a proposal, and the membership will ultimately decide if it is a good idea or not. All we are doing is trying to word the admendment to present to the membership for a vote. That is to say, the board is not trying to change it independant of the membership. The goal of the amendment is to further protect the club, directors, and members in the unlikely event of a lawsuit. This is in conjunction with the incorporation and insurance. There are a million things we can think of that would make all that protection necessary, but it is for the things we don't/can't think of that we care to have it. Now, I'm done defending the position of all that agreed that this should move forward. We need to get the wording done for this for inclusion into the newsletter ASAP. Please keep this thread ON TOPIC (hint-hint) from now on. Thad
