No need to be a board member to participant in the club.  The
participation of the membership is always encouraged.

Unfortunately, insurance and waivers are beyond the scope of our club, so
they can't work the way you suggest.  They are both pretty much
independently of each other, for the most part.  What one doesn't cover,
the other does.  They can also work together, like making an court case
that much cheaper on SAC's treasury.  This insurance is not like medical
insurance where you are expected to make claims, but for use only if
something goes very wrong.
