It's was nearly 3.5 years ago that this was last mentioned on SAC-Board
and now with the prevailing attitude that SAC has too much money, I think
it's time to address this again: SAC should purchase a video projector.
Currently, we use GCU's projector (SVGA=800x600). We have to get it
before the meeting and return it later. At the last meeting, we nearly
left the projector in room when we left the building.
Currently, there are 2000 lumen, XGA, DLP projectors available for around
$2000. (XGA=1024x768) The DLP projectors provide higher constrast than
LCD projectors (2000:1 aka blacker blacks). The projectors typically
weigh either 6.5 lbs or 2.4 lbs. They can be used either in the front of
the room or back.
