[sac-board] A Reply to a Club Query

This is my reply to a query about SAC. Perhaps some of the replies could
be made into an FAQ on the web site? I have anonymized the message.

SAC is an observing club. This means we have at least one session a month
for observing. Due to to light pollution, this means driving at least an
hour out of town to get to fairly dark skies (we have sites even further).
This means members that members have drivers licenses or a family member
that does.

We also have a monthly meeting that includes show&tell from members and a
lecture.

To my knowledge (I'm just stepping down as treasurer) no. We have a few
much younger as part of family memberships.

Our next meeting's on Friday, February 6th, at Grand Canyon University.
The club's web site hasn't been updated for 2004 yet, but until it is, my
web site has the current dates:

The meetings at Grand Canyon University are open to everyone. We ask that
you attend at least one of these before trying an observing session.

Our observing sites are chosen for the ability to setup next to our
vehicles. He can also look though other people's scopes and ask
questions.
