[sac-board] Re: 5 Mile Meadow

At this point, I'm tending to agree with Rick. We can look at 5MM later in
the season if the forest opens. As the week progresses we can see if a quick
trip somewhere may be in the cards, but at this point, planning a major
event is just not going to be worth the effort.

So, if new glass bring moistons, would a new battery bring smoke? It's
always something.

Looks like "Partly Cloudy" for the weekend at both sites anyway!

May as well throw in the towel...stay home, save gas, do honey-do's.
Sigh...

At this juncture, I see two alternatives, both of which have been mentioned
in previous posts:
1) Cherry II:=20
        Pros: Closer in, Higher elevation (read Cooler)
        Cons: IN the PNF, as Jeff pointed out may close as well, Not as Dark
2) The Towers (AKA Hovatter Rd):=20
        Pros: Dark Skies close to 5 Mile Meadow
        Cons: HOT, Farther Out, HOT

Anyone else have any alternatives?

Let me know soon and we'll make a decision and post it to AZ -observing.
