David I will leave the Townsville Bulletin for that day until I know how to
index that notice. I worked out it was an
tribal name but don't know how to index it. It looks like about 3 different
names with a / between them.
Wondered if I should index it without the names in brackets and then redo it
when I find out what to do and upload
that day again.
Margaret.

Margaret,
If it helps and you can wait for a reply, I have a relation who has lived
and worked in Milingimbi ,Arnhem Land since about 1990 but she has recently
retired to Humpty Doo. Some of her family still live and work in
Milingimbi.. I'm sure she could at least explain the etiquette and naming
patterns behind the names. She is very much into family history and
appreciates all that Ryerson does.
I suspect that Kalkadoon is the tribal group that the person was part of and
not part of their name. This tribe were originally from the Mt Isa area. I
won't even hazard a guess at the other parts of the name.

John, how do I index this notice. Do I put the name in brackets under a
previous name.
Margaret.
